Work with Children and Young people
The work Spotlight UK (formerly Peace of Mind Care) do for children and young people with special needs, disabilities, long term illnesses and terminal illnesses was set up in Loving Memory of Brandon Perrin who died on 12 January 2006 aged just 10 years old from a rare condition called Niemann Picks Disease. We raise money to be able to provide activities and days out for young carers and siblings of children and young people with terminal illnesses or substantial disabilities
We make donations to projects who provide support like arranging play days for Children and Young People where they can go and have fun and put to one side their problems for a couple of hours
We try and make dreams come true for children and young people especially from disadvantaged backgrounds including trips to the Theatre, Trips to recording companies, Trips to meet celebrities, VIP Trips to Football Clubs.
Five Young People were give the opportunity to go and record song at London Recording Studio
Spotlight UK currently funds 104 children who are from low income families to be able to attend activities that help to increase confidence, self esteem and social interaction. Without this support they would be unable to attend activities.
