Since a young age, dance has always been a huge part of my life, whether it be performing, teaching or dancing in lessons, I just simply enjoy it. Over the years, I have danced with many schools, both local and county based, whilst studying the subject in education too. I have been lucky enough to have the opportunity to perform on various stages across the county, along with taking part in many local events such as Basingstoke Live. For a couple of years now, I have been teaching at a number of schools in and around Tadley, giving school children the opportunity to get involved, trying their hands at various dance styles and the chance to perform in front of an audience. Through these classes, I am involved in government funded projects such as The Gifted and Talented Programme and Extended Schools. I have also worked with GCSE students studying dance from local secondary schools. I am closely involved with Move and Groove Dance and Aerobics. Here I take lessons myself and teach a range of age groups. More recently, I was asked to be involved in the Peace of Mind Care Trust which, I am extremely pleased to say, I am now part of. I look forward to my work with the charity, giving local youngsters the opportunity to try something new and exciting whilst being in a safe environment and meeting new faces. My main priority when teaching a class is to simply make sure everyone has fun. So whether you have some dance experience or none at all, please feel more than welcome to come along to the new classes and give it a try. I hope to see you all very soon.
